O.S.Kolomiychenko popup.description2 It was established that the prognostic factors of possible sensoroneural and vestibular disorders in patients with surgical pathology of the middle ear are the presence of kinetoses, pathological component within the tympanic cavity, especially with the block of labyrinth windows, the apparent radiological destructive features in the areas of the bony capsule of the labyrinth (degensence , prefistula, fistula), anatomical features of thelabyrinth, determined by the results of CT temporal bones. Preoperative examination of the vestibular function allows to determine the possibility of occurrence of early vestibular disorders in patients with surgical pathology of the middle ear.Identification of possible risk factors was the background for the development and implementation of preventive treatment in the clinic. The protocols for preventive treatment in patients with surgical pathology of the middle ear (otosclerosis, tympanosclerosis, middle ear cholesteatoma) were developed and used in the clinic to prevent the development of sensoroneural and vestibular disorders. Preventive treatment has been conducted and analyzed in 126 patients - 66 patients with middle ear cholesteatoma, 30 patients with tympanosclerosis and 30 patients with otosclerosis. The comparison group consisted of 90 patients who did not receive preventive treatment. The effectiveness of preventive treatment has been proved. In patients with total tympanosclerosis and fistula of the labyrinth in patients with middle ear cholesteatoma, sensorineural disorders were detected in the high-frequency region (4-8 kHz) in the follow-up, in spite of the preventive treatment.
