The subject of research is the involvement of the armed forces, other military formations, law enforcement and special bodies (services) in the elimination of internal armed conflict, the organization of management and the procedure for interaction between them. The purpose of the GDR is to establish, on the basis of world experience, the sources of internal armed conflict and to develop proposals for possible ways to use the operative grouping of troops (forces) to eliminate the conflict. Methods of research: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, historical-genetic, historical-comparative, problematic-chronological. During the GDR implementation the following tasks were solved: certain sources and analysis of factors influencing the occurrence and course of internal armed conflict; established stages of internal armed conflict; defined the role and place of the armed forces and other military formations in abolishment of internal armed conflict; the processes of creation and use of operative grouping of troops (forces) during the elimination of internal armed conflict with elements of foreign intervention, organization of management and interaction; proposed changes to the current legislation that contributes to effectiveness escalation of the use of armed forces in the elimination of internal armed conflict.
