The subject of the study is the participation of Ukraine in pan-European historical processes, which predetermined its civilizational choice. The purpose of the study is to identify and analyze the political, socio-economic, cultural and religious factors of the civilization development of Ukraine; the disclosure of the historical basis of modern transformation processes in Ukraine, the historical justification of the prospect of European integration for the purpose of further use during the formation and implementation of information policy and defending the geopolitical interests of our state. In its basis, the proposed comprehensive study required an interconnected solution to both purely historical and interdisciplinary problems. In this connection, new methods such as information-historical and socio-historical were used, and new interdisciplinary approaches to historical research were developed. In particular, approaches to using the advanced and new methods were important for the implementation of the scientific theme. It is they who contributed significantly to the emergence of new valuation characteristics of events and events. On the basis of studying the existing conceptual provisions on the civilization path of the Ukrainian people in the European historical processes, the idea, the essence of which is to substantiate the regularities of the election of Ukraine to the direction of development similar to the Western European states, has found its development.
