V. Dobko.- Kyiv, 2018. Research objectis a system of education libraries under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. Research subjectconcerns the nature, content, direction and methodological support of innovative development of education libraries. Chronological boundaries: 2017 - 2019. In order to achieve the research aim the methods ofsociohumanitarian and sociocommunicative scienceswere used. The empirical and theoretical methods make it possible to generalise and ground the nature, principles and structureof the methodological and information activity carried out at the library and find effective forms and methods of access to documentary resources. The study is committed to optimising the system of providing methodological support to education libraries in the context of the state information and educational policy. The special attention is paid to the national and international experience regarding innovative development of subject libraries,study of modern information needs of the sphere and information resources. The improvement of providing methodological support to the system of education libraries in Ukraine depends upon the conditions necessary for the intensification of research work, updating of management activity, improving of the quality of educational process through effective search, organisation, use and storage of scientific information. The study and implementation of research findings into the practice of education libraries will further the qualitativeproviding of information support toinnovative development of the national pedagogical science, education and practice. The following research findings should be obtained: to form a source base of the study; to analyse the regulatory and legal basisregarding modern national information space; to study and generalise the national and foreign experience of scientificinformation work performed by leading education libraries; to enlarge the range of scientific production, particularly in electronic form; to write and publish scientific papers (practical manuals, guidelines, manual, handbook, analytical materials) and other publications; to find out, define and ground the nature, content and directions of methodological principles of innovative development of the system of education libraries under the MES of Ukraine and the NAESof Ukraine; to ensure the proper functioning of scientific information complex of V.O. SukhomlynskyiSSPL of Ukraine as a methodological and coordination centre for the system of education libraries under the MES of Ukraine and the NAESof Ukraine; to analyse the effectiveness of methodological work carried out atV.O. SukhomlynskyiSSPL of Ukraine. It has been found out that modern technical and technological basis of the process of informatisationdemands innovative approaches to produce, use, organise and storage information of public interest. It has been grounded that it is necessary to create and use information resources as a determinant factor in the development of society; hence there is a need for innovative development of the system of education libraries. During the preparatory stage of the research workthe scientists of V.O. SukhomlynskyiSSPL of Ukraineanalysed the source and historiographical base on the research, characterised the term system on the topic, studied the regulatory and legal basis of modern national information space, generalised statistical information about the activities carried out by the leading education libraries in 2016. The prospective directions of modernisation of scientific information workperformed by the leading education libraries under the MES of Ukraine and the NAESof Ukraine have been grounded; the ways how to transform the system of education libraries into the base document communication complexes of the global information environment have been studied;the methodological principles of providing support to the system of education libraries under the MES of Ukraine and the NAESof Ukraine have been analysed. A set of reference, methodological and bibliographic materials on current problems regarding the system of education libraries and patriotic education in school librarieshas been developed. The obtained research findingshave constructed the basis for further work on the development and deepening of organisational, theoretical, methodological and technological principles concerning the formation of library and information resources for the educational sphere of Ukraine and providing methodological support to the system of education libraries under the MES of Ukraine and the NAESof Ukraine. The degree of introduction: scientific products have been spread among the education libraries underthe MES of Ukraine and the NAES of Ukraine for practical introduction of research findingswhileprovidingscientific information support forthe specialists in the sphere of education. The sphere of application: V.O. SukhomlynskyiSSPL of Ukraine, the system of education libraries underthe MES of Ukraine and the NAES of Ukraine, libraries of other systems and departments. Practical significance of the results: research findings are of great practical value as they can be used while studying methodological principles of the development of education libraries as an important component of the educational environment. Economic efficiency:intensification of research activity and educational process in the educational sphere of Ukraine through the transformation of education libraries underthe MES of Ukraine and the NAES of Ukraine into modern subject library and information complexes.
