The object of the research is the process of assessing the innovation development of an industrial enterprise, the subject of the study - the theoretical and methodological basis for assessing the innovation development of the industrial enterprise. For the stated purpose, the following methods of research were used as: morphological analysis - to clarify and clarify the economic essence of the concept of "innovation"; system analysis - to determine the place of innovation activity in the innovative development of the enterprise; methods of logical synthesis and synthesis - for analysis of approaches to the interpretation of the concepts of "innovative activity" and "innovative development of the enterprise"; method of taxonomy - for calculating the indicator of the level of innovation activity of industrial enterprises; cluster analysis - for the discovery of innovative active industrial enterprises; graphic - for visual display of research results. The information base of the research was international standards, legislative and normative documents of Ukraine, researches of foreign and domestic scientists and practitioners, materials of scientific and practical conferences, monographs, as well as information materials of the Internet. The research content clarifies the essence of the concepts of "innovation" and "innovative development of the enterprise"; the interrelation of innovation activity and innovative development of the enterprise is substantiated; modern scientific and methodical approaches to the evaluation of innovative development are researched; the state and trends of innovation activity of industrial enterprises of Ukraine are analyzed; the classification of factors of influence on the level of innovation development of industrial enterprises is specified; the conceptual approach to the evaluation of innovative development of the industrial enterprise is developed; investigated the profitability of investments in innovation as a condition for ensuring the innovative development of an industrial enterprise; the sequence of the choice of the priority direction of innovative development of the enterprise is offered.
