The epidemiological characteristics, dynamics and structure of primary disability are given, the state of medical and social examination is assessed and the leading factors leading to the onset of adult disability with congenital valvular heart defects and mitral valve prolapse after appeals to the ITU institutions are highlighted. Modern complexes of clinical and expert and rehabilitation diagnostics have been developed to determine the individual profile of life limitation of congenital valvular heart defects and mitral valve prolapse in the aggregate of the constituent disorders of the functions of the organism, the domains of activity and participation in accordance with the provisions of the International Classification of Functioning. The needs of young people with a disability in different types of rehabilitation are determined, taking into account the type of defect, disability groups and the prospects for their solution. The organizational and methodical approaches to conducting ITU of people with disabilities as a result of congenital valvular heart defects and mitral valve prolapse have been improved, methodological approaches have been developed for rehabilitation programs, assessment of quality and efficiency of rehabilitation assistance, forecasting of its results using IFF as an instrument.
