Skovoroda National Pedagogical University popup.description2 The object of the research is the history of Ukraine: problems of social, political, cultural, economic development The purpose of the work: to identify insufficiently studied problems of national history, to investigate them, taking into account regional peculiarities Methods of research: general science (analysis and synthesis, typology, classification, formal logic) and special historical (problem-thematic, chronological, comparative-historical, analytical, descriptive, retrospective). Results and their novelty: - the place and the role of positivism in the development of historical science on the territory of Ukraine in the 1960's and 19th and 20th centuries were thoroughly investigated; elucidated and analyzed the main elements of the positivist model of historical writing; - comprehensively investigated the activities of the nobility Slobozhanshchina late XVIII - early XIX century. Highlights its legal status and role in the life of the region; - a comprehensive study of the history of entrepreneurial, philanthropic and philanthropic activities of the Kharitonenko family in the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries was carried out; - the economic, cultural and educational activities of the Svyatogorsk monastery in the middle of the XIX - early XX centuries were thoroughly investigated; - Complex research of public-political, scientific, pedagogical and publicistic activity of V.K. Lipinsky on the background of socio-political processes in the first third of the XX century. on the Ukrainian territory under the authority of the Russian and Austro-Hungarian empires, as well as in the Ukrainian emigration environment of Austria and Germany; - the legal and socioeconomic situation of Slobozhanshchyna as a separate socio-professional group and its role in the processes of formation and development of the national education system in the region are analyzed; - identification, analyzes and summarizes the key trends of industrial-technical education given to the needs of Ukrainian society of the 1920s - early 1930s .; - an analysis of the activities of state bodies and the public on the development of the health care system of the population in the city of Kharkiv during its existence in the status of the capital of the Ukrainian SSR; the characteristic features of the establishment and development of medical institutions, the formation and operation of the system of working medicine, are analyzed, measures of the fight against social diseases are analyzed. ; - The resistance movement in the Kharkiv region was analyzed, its features and characteristics were determined. The degree of implementation, in teaching middle and high schools to create a scientific and popular publications, tour itineraries, the creation of programs promising development. Recommendations for using the results of work: in the educational process of higher and secondary schools Significance of work: contributes to the rethinking of national history, preservation of the historical memory of the nation, strengthening national-patriotic education Conclusions: It is necessary to continue and deepen research in the following areas: - experience in organizing the educational process in Ukrainian lands at different stages of historical development; - generalization of historical achievements of prominent historians of Slobozhanshchyna; - a comparative description of the state policy regarding the ethnic minorities of Ukraine in the Soviet era and the era of independence.
