The purpose of the study is to develop elements of the cultivation of cereal crops in the conditions of the Western Forest-Steppe based on a study of the timing of sowing winter crops (wheat, barley) and the use of plant growth biostimulants in processing seed of winter wheat and a combination of pre-sowing treatment and foliar feedings for spring wheat. Research methods - field - monitoring the growth and development of plants during the growing season, the formation of yield; laboratory - determination of the chemical composition of crops; mathematical and statistical - analysis of variance (evaluation of the reliability of experimental data); settlement and comparative - the definition of yield, economic evaluation of the studied elements of technology. Results - reasonable timing of sowing recommended for the region of barley varieties of winter and winter wheat, due to changes in climatic conditions. The effectiveness of the use of plant growth biostimulants for winter and spring wheat has been studied. There is a significant advantage in the productivity of barley of winter and winter wheat, when sowing them in the optimal and allowable time (+1.49 t / ha and 1.35 t / ha) compared to sowing them earlier or later. A high level of crop productivity was achieved by introducing growth biostimulants Regoplant and Stimpo in variants with seed treatment for winter wheat and a combination of pre-sowing treatment and foliar extra dressings for spring wheat yield (+0.76 t / ha and 0.63 t / ha in the best options ).
