The purpose of the study is to develop elements of the technology of growing and protecting tobacco from harmful organisms. Economically justify the feasibility of introducing into the production of effective growth stimulants and insecticides in order to ensure the competitiveness of tobacco raw materials on the market. Research methods: field, biometric, economic, method of theoretical analysis of scientific literature, computational and constructive. Scientific novelty - the elements of environmentally friendly technology of growing and protecting tobacco from diseases and pests using the most effective growth stimulants (Vympel) and insecticides (Commodore) with economic calculations of cash costs for the production of tobacco raw materials. Theoretical and practical results: 1. Scientific and practical recommendations have been developed for the environmentally friendly technology of growing and protecting tobacco from diseases and pests for practical use in tobacco-growing farms in Transdniestria of Ukraine. 2. The effect of Megafol and Vimpel growth stimulants on the growth and development of Burley 46 varieties of tobacco was studied. It was established that using Vimpel growth stimulants, an average yield of 4.9 centners per hectare of dry leaves could be obtained and the quality of tobacco raw materials could be improved; recorded respectively 93%, which is 9%. 3. Completed a study of the effectiveness of the use of the new systemic insecticide Commodore, Bi-58 (new) was used as a standard, against tobacco trips, a carrier of the tomato bronze virus. It has been established that the use of the Commodore insecticide in tobacco plantings results in a decrease in damage by 54.8%, a yield increase of 4.8 centners per hectare relative to the control variant and 0.7 centners per hectare relative to the reference variant. 4. Calculated regulatory cash costs per 1 hectare of tobacco and with a dry leaf yield of 20 c/ha, they are equal to 112264 UAH (tobacco planting and stringing of leaves were performed manually), the cost price of 1 centner of dry tobacco leaves is 5563 UAH. With increasing yields, the unit cost of production decreases. With an average selling price of 6000 UAH (excluding VAT) per 1 centner, tobacco is a profitable agricultural crop. 5. The economic substantiation of the effectiveness of the use of new chemicals in scientific research in 2018. According to their results, the best indicators of efficiency were found when using Vimpel growth stimulator and Komandor insecticide.
