Karazin popup.description2 The purpose of the work is development of new electrodynamic systems of terahertz electron devices on the basis of the use of photonic crystals and layered metamaterials and the development of a multidimensional nonlinear theory of beam-wave interaction in such systems; determination of the modes of localization of electromagnetic energy in transmitted channels of photonic crystal waveguides and the laws of the effect of parameters of photonic crystals, metamaterials and gyromagnetic media on the dispersion characteristics of electrodynamic systems. The dispersion diagrams of the photonic crystal structure and the electric field spatial distribution in the waveguide channel for various values of the system parameters were obtained. The basic equations of the self-consistent theory of beam-wave interaction of linear electronic beams with fields of the photonic crystal structures modes are obtained. The modes of synchronization of sheet electronic beams with slow waves of eigen modes of modified photonic crystal structures have been determined. The calculations of the characteristics of the two-dimensional nonlinear beam-wave interaction in the hollow channels of photonic crystal waveguides are carried out and the physical factors of the change in the efficiency of energy exchange are determined. General dispersion equations and their solutions for magnetophotonic structures with gyrotropic elements are obtained.
