The purpose of the study is to carry out complex (theoretical and experimental) research on the discovery of new physical regularities of the interaction of electromagnetic waves with plane multilayer gratings. Creation of the system of automatic designing of microwave and EHF devices based on built models. Subject of research - multiparametric dependences of electrodynamic characteristics of scattered fields on geometrical and material parameters, frequency-energy characteristics and pattern characteristics. Research methods: experimental and computer simulation. Research results: The theory and methods of the analysis of diffraction of electromagnetic waves by metal bars with defect in dielectric filling have done. The influence of the defect on the resonant frequency and the quality factor of the structure is investigated. The dependence of increasing the intensity of the internal field on the parameters of the structure is established. A new type of quasi-fractal antenna based on a microstrip resonator has been proposed and numerically analyzed. Dependences of radiated power and pattern characteristic by structure parameters are studied.The properties of a disc microstrip antenna, which is located on a dielectric layer that is shielded by an impedance surface is investigated. The influence of internal parameters on input impedance and the antenna pattern characteristics has been investigated. With the help of the operator method, the solution of the scalar diffraction problem to the axially-symmetric inhomogeneity in a metallic screen is recived.The results of the research may be found in experimental studies of functional elements of microwave and EHF bands.
