Karazin popup.description2 The research aims to study the impact of technological factors (negative bias potential, partial nitrogen pressure, chemical and phase composition of cathodes, etc.) on the structure, structural and phase state and properties of vacuum arc multi-element and multi-phase nitride coatings. The research focuses on nitride coatings based on multielement high-entropy alloys (HEA) and multilayer coatings, every layer of which is composed with a nitride layer based on HEA and a layer of a simple transition metal nitride. Multilayer structuring of nitride coatings is a promising option for improvement of their performance properties. Application of HEAs (e.g. TiZrNbAlYCr, TiZrNbTaHf, or TiZrHfNbTaY) to form nitride coatings is a necessary condition for their improved stability which is ensured by the solid solution state of the nitride coating. Variations of technological factors (particularly, of the negative bias potential from 50 to 500 V, partial nitrogen pressure from 0.03 to 0.5 Pa) make it possible to purposefully adjust structural and phase state of the coating, to form desirable cubic structures (with BCC or FCC lattices) and stereological values of the microstructure (especially crystallite sizes). In multilayer nitride coatings of the (TiZrNbTaHf)N/MoN and (TiZrNbTaHf)N/WN type for all deposition modes, phases with FCC lattices are also created in both layers of coatings. Creation of phases with BCC or FCC lattices can also be adjusted by changing the metal element of the simple nitride. The use of layers with CrN, MoN and ZrN in bilayer multiperiodic compositions does not change the cubic lattice type in the coating. A significant improvement of mechanical properties of coatings can be attained by additional ion implantation. Product Description popup.authors Б. Мазілін В. Береснєв В. Чишкала Л. Маліков П.
