Karazin popup.description2 Object of the research is physical process of amplification of the own and forced radiation of a layer of quantum dots vai its hybridization with metasurface, which supports resonance in a trapped mode. Aim of the work is to expand the functionality, optimize the characteristics and increase the competitive ability of the gain elements (amplifiers and light generators) in the optical and terahertz ranges, by studying the physical feature of the interaction between strong local fields of trapped mode of the metasurface and layer of the gain and nonlinear medium . Methods of the study - the Pseudospectral Time Domain Method, the Method of Finite Elements. Results of work: analysis of the conditions of trapped mode resonance exciting in metasurface with periodic cell, that includes single or four asymmetric silicon cylinders, is carried out. Field distributions for different types of trapped modes were studied and metasurface parameters were optimized to have the high-quality resonance near 1,350 microns. A theoretical study of the luminescence enhancement in a polystyrene layer with PbS quantum dots, which hybridize with studied metasurfaces, was carried out. The efficiency of using cluster metasurfaces for the enhancement of luminescence is proved.
