Karazin popup.description2 The object of the study is the processes of electrical excitation, radiation and the formation of electromagnetic fields with broadband antenna arrays of axial and transverse radiation and processes of conduction currents in individual elements of the array. The density of conduction currents in the elements of the antenna array and their effect on the processes of formation of displacement currents in the near-band radiation that provides effective radiation of electromagnetic energy and the formation of the amplitude-phase distribution and the directional diagram of the given configuration. The purpose of the work is to develop principles of design, calculation methods and technology for the production of both single broadband antennas and broadband antenna arrays with given electrodynamic and spatial-energy characteristics, as well as the creation of valid experimental models suitable for production and practical use. Development of small-sized broadband antennas and antenna arrays for military and civilian radio communication facilities using broadband and noise signals. Also, the goal is to develop antenna arrays with a reduced level of radiation in the near zone for use as environmentally friendly radio communication equipment and antenna-applicators for radio-introscopy devices. The main results and their novelty are: the study of the properties of broadband antenna arrays consisting of combined emitters of electric and magnetic types with different capacitance-inductive properties, as well as antenna arrays based on ferrodielectric emitters. The following results are obtained in these main directions: - physical and mathematical models of small-sized, wide-band antennas and equidistant antenna arrays with a period of less than half the operating wavelength; - methods of formation of spatial-energy characteristics of radiation of small-sized broadband antenna arrays of axial radiation; - models and experimental samples of microstrip and dielectric emitters; - technical solutions for automatic coordination of the radiation system with feeder line. Recommendations for using work results. The obtained results and recommendations can be used in the development of new types of dual purpose antennas with different frequency and antennas with a significantly weakened reactive radiation zone, which significantly increases their environmental safety. Experimental samples manufactured in accordance with the specifications, in terms of their characteristics and technical and economic indicators exceed the foreign developments and have the prospects for implementation in dual-purpose communication and navigation systems. On the subject of work, an economic agreement was concluded with UkrRadioProm and the state enterprise Orion, and there is an agreement on concluding a contract with the state enterprise Ukroboronprom of the Central Design Bureau "Proton".
