Karazin popup.description2 Research objects: araneofauna, entomofauna, batrachofauna, herpetofauna, avifauna and mammal fauna; steppe and forest ecosystems; conservation areas; assemblage structure; hemiclonal population systems. Research aim: to make an analytic survey of changes in flora, fauna and mycobiota for the further development of the concepts of ecosystem conservation and rational use; to make a forecast of the influence of key factors on the environment. Novelty of the work: a) an effect of fire on the assemblages of steppe invertebrates on the example of beetles (Coleoptera) and spiders (Aranea) was studied; the disturbance impact manifested in the changing assemblage structures, especially in dominant complexes and trophic groups; the groups, which demonstrated negative, positive or neutral reactions, were identified; b) periodic fires, hay mowing and grazing were proposed as egulative methods for maintainibg ecosystem depelopement; c) based on the mycobiota research, Sarcoscypha spp. and Urnula craterium were proposed as convenient model objects for the ecological monitoring; d) a survey of amphibia and reptile population statuses was made regarding the dry envorinmental conditions in the last decade; e) for the first time, the acoustic diversity indices were used as indicators of the forest ecosystem disturbance; e) a scale of anthropogenic pressure for the bird assemblages of indigenous oak forests was built; g) a probable mechanism of the emergence and development of hemiclonal inheritance in green frogs was proposed; the reasons for stable existence of the frog hemiclonal population systems were determined. The research results were paced at the disposal of the relevant conservation institutions, in particular, the National Nature Parks "Dvorichanskyi" and "Slobojenskyi", and Luhansk Natural Reserve (Striltsivskyi Steppe department). They will be applied in the conservation management and justification of the enlargement of protected areas. The obtained data on rare species will be included in the fourth edition of the Red Data Book of Ukraine.
