Section 1. Development and optimization of the sensory system. popup.stage_title Head Borkovska Lyudmyla, Registration Date 05-02-2019 Organization Institute of Semiconductor Physics popup.description2 The objects of the study are the nanocrystals of AgxIn4S7 and CuхIn4S7 compounds with different compositions of the core (x = 0.3-4.0) and types of the shell (ZnS and CdS). The goal of the work is to study the luminescence characteristics of quantum dots based on A1A3B6 compounds with different compositions of the core and types of shell. The methods of the investigations - photoluminescence, Raman scattering, optical absorption, X-ray diffraction. It is found that the optical characteristics of colloidal quantum dots of Ag (Cu)xIn4S7 (x = 0.3-4.0) synthesized in aqueous solution in the presence of aliphatic mercaptoacids are determined by relative contribution of the nanocrystals of tetragonal and cubic phases. It is shown that their photoluminescence spectra contain one or two broad bands caused by radiative transition via the levels of defects. It is found that the increasing of Ag content from x = 0.5 to 1.0 allows shifting the luminescence band from 603 to 667 nm, while the increasing of Cu content from x = 0.3 to 0.7 - from 650 to 700 nm, respectively. The nanocrystals with x = 1 demonstrate the largest intensity of luminescence. It is shown that the covering of nanocrystals with ZnS and CdS shells results in the increase of luminescence intensity in 2-3 times and the spectral shift of the luminescence band due to change in the spatial confinement of electrons in a nanocrystal. Projected assumptions about the development of the research object are the improvement of the methods of synthesis of nanocrystals with intense photoluminescence in a visible spectral range for biological applications.
