Purpose of work - to create scientific bases for the synthesis of highly effective materials for catalytic converters of natural, synthetic and man-made toxicants intended for equipping filtering-ventilation systems of stationary objects and vehicles, reducing toxic emissions of transport engines through internal-cylinder catalysis, and developing tools for operational monitoring of the state of the environment. Methods of investigation - linear voltammetry, potentiometry, impedance measurement, scanning electron spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, X-ray spectral microanalysis, рененофазный analysis, X-ray fluorescence analysis. The grounds for creating the scientific principles for control the composition of hetero oxide coatings on aluminum and titanium alloys are based on the variation of the electrolytes composition, modes and parameters of synthesis by the plasma electrolyte oxidation method. Structural characteristics and morphology of synthesized materials and ways of optimization of their structure-dependent properties are determined. The composition of heterooxide coatings of increased catalytic activity and energy efficiency for the neutralization of toxic components in the environment, determination of their content with the instillation of microcontact sensors and intracylindrical catalysis have been established. The technological principles of synthesis of highly effective materials have been developed. Such materials can be used for the installation of catalytic converters of man-made toxicants and means of operational monitoring of the state of the environment.
