The purpose of research is to substantiate theoretical and methodological bases and practical tools related to modern concepts of management of industrial enterprise development, and to make methodological recommendations regarding choosing the concepts using the efficiency criterion. The research methods include scientific abstraction, analysis and synthesis, systematization and generalization; systems analysis and dialectical method, methods of economic analysis, economico-mathematical modeling, matrix methods. The substantive content of different concepts related to management of industrial enterprise development, is identified; methodological bases for the implementation of restructuring with a view toward ensuring a successful development of industrial enterprises are refined; a methodological approach to a comparative assessment of corporate governance that takes into consideration the interests of different stakeholders and can be used for choosing the directions of further development of corporate relations at industrial enterprises is proposed. On the basis of the results obtained in this work, the usefulness of a logistical approach to managing enterprise development was shown, which makes it possible to identify directions of the development of logistics subsystem of an industrial enterprise. To verify a hypothesis regarding the impact of the institutional environment on the possibilities of industrial enterprise development, we systemized global indices characterizing the level of confidence and responsibility in business environment and proposed a methodological approach to analyzing the impact of institutional environment in the sphere of business taxation. Based on the results obtained in this study, the methodological apparatus for evaluating the efficiency of using outsourcing and restructuring when managing the development of industrial enterprises was refined. Applying the developed scientific-methodological approaches, industrial enterprises will be able to strengthen their competitive positions in the domestic and foreign markets due to the implementation of an effective mechanism of managing the enterprise development.
