The study aims to develop a set of methodologies and tools for determining the mutual influence of technical and operational characteristics of heat supply equipment. The following research methods were used. Analysis of the technical characteristics of objects is carried out on the base of experimental design method using mathematical modeling with combination of analytical and numerical methods; mathematical modeling is carried out on the basis of balance, differential and integral equations for thermophysics and hydraulics processes; graph theory and system analysis are applied for the thermodynamic calculation of the branched system of generating, transportation and consumption of heat. As a result the improved procedure of analysis of heat and mass equipment efficiency has been developed. Improved procedures for identification of distance-heating pipelines heat losses taking into account the temperature conditions and insulation damage extent have been proposed. The improved procedure of thermal and hydraulic analysis of complex extensive heat supply systems have been developed. Improved procedures for estimating and predicting heat losses through the surface of equipment (boilers, pipelines, buildings, etc.) have been created using the information from their survey. The improved technical and economic optimization methodology have been made taking into account the mutual influence of equipment technical characteristics.
