The purpose of the work is to develop a technology for the preparation and drying of molds and cores based on a sand-gypsum mixture, which allows you to obtain accurate parts of complex shape of the required quality . Methods of research - the following physical and mechanical and technological properties of sand-gypsum mixtures were investigated in the paper as compressive strength, survivability, shedding and gas permeability. Optimization methods for experiment planning and mathematical statistics were used in the research. Results - introduction of the technology for manufacturing castings from sand-gypsum mixture in the research and production center "European Engineering Technologies" . Novelty - a progressive method of manufacturing castings from sand-gypsum mixtures with the optimal ratio of component mixtures to obtain high-quality castings is proposed. A new drying process for molds has been proposed, which has shown its high efficiency and has been tested in the production conditions of the Scientific and Production Center "European Engineering Technologies".
