The object of research is the process of self-homing of short-range attack missiles and tactical missiles on the ground (surface) target. The research subject is the principles of construction and analysis of combat effectiveness of self-homing systems with multispectral target coordinators. The purpose of research scientific work is the elaboration and substantiation of proposals concerning the improvement of methodic of assessment of combat effectiveness of self-homing systems of short-range attack missiles and tactical missiles with taking into account the application of multispectral target coordinator. The methods of research are the system technique, automatic control theory, mathematical statistics, simulation modeling. The results obtained in the course of research are the following ones: - analysis of tendencies of development of multispectral systems of self-homing of short-range attack missiles and tactical missiles with an emphasis on domestic researches and capabilities of research and production base of Ukraine; - analysis of the existing methodology of assessment of combat effectiveness of systems of self-homing of optical, infrared and radio-frequency range with the comparison of their information capabilities for different conditions of application (time of day, weather conditions, circumstance of obstacles). - elaboration of methodology of assessment of combat effectiveness of multispectral systems of self-homing on the base of mathematical and informational models obtained from physical principles of construction of channels of surveillance of self homers. - experimental assessment of efficiency of application of methodology by the method of static modeling and practical recommendations concerning technical realization of multispectral self homers of short-range attack missiles (tactical missiles). In the course of work on the base of the applied research methods and obtained results there were substantiated the main ways of system-technical and scheme-technical optimization of self homers of short-range attack missiles (tactical missiles) of the new generation with the advanced combat capabilities concerning employment conditions, accuracy and anti-obstacle protection.
