The purpose of the work is to ensure environmental safety in the field of hazardous waste management and to improve the efficiency of assessing their complex impact on water bodies using methods and means of multispectral environmental monitoring and biosensors. Research Methods - in solving the set tasks, the methods of the theory of radiation transfer in aqueous media were used; mathematical models of the formation of multispectral images; mathematical statistics methods for processing the spectral characteristics of aquatic environments; processing of multispectral images, namely their segmentation and filtering; methods of measurement theory for assessing the reliability of monitoring parameters of water pollution on the basis of improved methods of multispectral environmental monitoring and developed technical means. At the first stage, the development and analysis of mathematical models of water pollution by components of hazardous waste and its environmental monitoring based on bioindication was carried out. Mathematical models of pollution of water bodies with components of hazardous waste during the operation of landfills for storing garbage, waste treatment facilities or during their transportation have been developed and analyzed. Mathematical models for multispectral environmental monitoring of pollution of water bodies by components of hazardous wastes based on bioindication by phytoplankton or macrophytes have been developed and analyzed.
