The purpose of the work is the development of self-extinguishing epoxy composite materials and the detection of the influence of salts of d-metals on the fire hazard of epoxypolymer materials. Research methods. The main scientific results were obtained using the following research methods: X-ray diffraction, differential-thermal and thermogravimetric analyzes, IR spectroscopy and quantum-chemical calculations. The temperature of ignition and spontaneous combustion, flammability, the coefficient of smoke formation, the velocity of propagation of flame is determined by standard methods with the use of metrologically certified equipment and proven measuring instruments. Experimental research results were processed using computer technology and application software packages. The probability of the obtained results is confirmed by statistical processing using MathCAD computer software. Results Essentially new self-extinguishing epoxy-amine compositions with high fire safety are developed. It has been established that modified d-metal doping epoxymal compositions are characterized by high temperatures of ignition and self-ignition, lowered by the coefficient of smoke generation, belonging to self-extinguishing and do not spread the flame. Such compositions in practice can be used as a glue for the manufacture of particle board, as a fire protection cover for wood, for the installation of suspended ceilings of vestibules, staircases, lift halls, as well as for filling floors in industrial and administrative buildings. This will reduce the fire load and the likelihood of a fire. Novelty - the features of controlled modification of epoxime compositions with salts of d-metals are disclosed in order to increase their fire safety. A series of new antipyrens-hardening agents of epoxylamine compositions based on polyethylene polyamine and d-metal salts in the form of chelate complexes have been developed and received. It has been established that effective chemical binding (complex formation) between salts of d-metals and polyethylenepolymin, an amine solvent of epoxy resins, which is accompanied by the formation of strong coordination bonds, plays a decisive role in the formation of self-extinguishing epoxylamine compositions. The technology of manufacturing materials on the basis of epoxy-compositions with a reduced fire hazard has been improved.
