The goal of the research is testing of methods and approaches to organization of the educational process in auditoriums and during self-study of students, that would ensure formation of personality of a modern engineer capable of creative approach to solution of practical engineering problems, critical thinking and teamworking. Methods of the research - study and analysis of problems existing in engineering education and of modern approaches to organization of the educational process, implementation of the approaches in view of available possibilities and resources, observation and analysis of influence of the introduced changes on the process of studying, progress and activity of students. Organizational and methodological foundations of implementation of new educational technologies in the practice of educational work of the department have been tested and refined. Methods of organization of education in the process of accomplishing real projects both for competitions for students and for functioning enterprises of rocket and space industry have been tested and implemented. Procedures of cooperation with the Noosphere Engineering School at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University (DNU), with enterprises of the rocket and space industry and enterprises operating in other high-tech industries have been worked out. The results of the research have been implemented into the educational process of the Department of Space Information Technologies of DNU.
