The purpose of the work is a mastering of production technology of silicon carbide refractories on silica nitride containing binder with carbon containing addition of "Carbonxide". The research methods are physical-chemical, petrographic, thermo-mechanical ones. The production technology of silicon carbide refractories on silica nitride containing binder with carbon containing addition of "Carbonxide" has been mastered. Products with the addition of "Carbonxide" are characterized by the following indexes of physical and chemical properties: content, wt. %: SiC - 71.2, Si residual - 0.5, N - 7.1; cold crushing strength 162.0 N/mm2, open porosity 18.0, apparent density 2.57 g/cm3, refractoriness under loud of 0.2 N mm2 -> 1700 °C. The quantity influence of zirconia-containing addition on the properties of corundum refractory on sialon-containing binder is investigated. It has been established that, when electrofused corundum is replaced by alumina-zirconia-silicate material, the samples strength increases, however, when the content of this material exceeds 20 wt. %, thermal shock resistance and slag resistance of the samples reduce. Taking into account the obtained results, namely: increase of strength, absence of slag penetration, as well as high thermal shock resistance, a composition with the optimum quantity of alumina-zirconia-silicate material can be recommended for use in aggregates with cyclic mode of operation. In accordance with the requirements of current normative documentation on the pilot production JSC "The URIR named after A.S. Berezhnoy" the pilot batches of silicon carbide refractories on alumina-containing binder and silicon carbide refractories on silica nitride containing binder, which corresponded to requirements of the technical specifications, have been produced.
