The purpose is to define and to analyze poetical and aesthetical peculiarities of Ukrainian literature using traditional and modern methods, the specificity of philosophical basis of modern literature and its artistic representation; to comprehend the concept of style development in Ukrainian literature concerning the theoretical aspects of modernism and post-modernism and the analysis of specific literary texts; to identify genre and poetical peculiarities and modifications of modern and classical Ukrainian literature texts, of the literature of Ukrainian emigration; to introduce the special courses which generalizing the results of the research in this scientific field into the curriculum. The realization of the tasks demands the usage of complex methodology including wide spectrum of methods and devises of traditional and modern literary criticism. Scientific novelty of the researches of the Department of Ukrainian Literature scientists considers the multi-disciplinary analysis of literary works haven't been in the focus of professional attention yet, the usage of new methodology for the analysis of classical literary texts (for example, in the research of some author's literary heritage from gender criticism point of view), the definition of conceptual dominants of the analyzed works, the investigation of the deep connection between the conceptual, aesthetical, philosophical and formal levels of the literary text. The results of the research and the withdrawal were used in the subjects of the curriculum. This usage lets increase the professional level of the students, helps to choose the materials for lectures, to develop study programs, to test students' knowledges, to prepare for seminars. Prognostic assumption for the development of the subject of the research considers the evolution of some new synthetic methodology of the study of literary text, the recourse to the corpus of the texts haven't been analyzed properly yet, the theoretical generalization of the patterns of manifestation of the artistic and conceptual peculiarities of the literary works on macro- and micro-levels of their form.
