The research is aimed at characterising the literary and cultural correlation both from historical perspective and within historical dynamics; at introducing less known literary works subject to scholarly discussion into the sphere of literary studies. The research methods applied comprise: genetic-historical, comparative, typological, socio-cultural, imagological and that of receptive aesthetics. The results of the research can be applied within academic process for various educational purposes, i.e. for raising awareness and understanding of numerous literary-cultural interrelations. The scientific contribution to the field is determined by the following: 1) new sources identified , analyzed, systematized and classified; 2) modern terminology in the field of literary work reception and interpretation within historical and cultural context clarified and systematized; 3) means and approaches to representing historically determined cultural context in the generic paradygm of national literatures identified; 4) the conceptual sphere of literature and culture of various cultural and historical stages explored.
