The effect of decreasing AE activity as the grains are crushed is found, which is associated with a sharp decrease in the amplitude of AE signals to values below the background, which is especially pronounced in ultrafine-grained samples. Acoustic studies of the deformed WE43 alloy have confirmed that due to the increased diffusion mobility in a stressed material with a lower melting point, exposure at room temperature is accompanied by strong relaxation processes leading to a radical change in such a structurally dependent quantity as the sound attenuation rate. The dependence of the corrosion rate of wires from the alloy WE43 in a physiological solution on the grain size at 36-37 ° C has been studied. Two effects have been revealed: a noticeable decrease in the corrosion rate and its homogeneity as the grain is refined in the region of 35-1.5 ?m.
