The report presents the results of studies on the application of protective antifriction nanostructured carbon diamond and diamond-like (DLC) coatings on annular elements of dry gas seals (DGS) of silicon carbide used in high-pressure compressor equipment. The execution of the work required the modernization of the existing equipment, which was developed and manufactured at the NSC KIPT and was used to synthesize diamond and DLC coatings by plasma-chemical and vacuum-arc methods on the surface of samples from various materials. At the first stage,both the design, dimensions of the elements of equipment that allow processing parts of 120 mm in size, and the modes of deposition of diamond / DLC coatings on the surface of samples of such dimensions were experimentally tested. In optimized modes, protective antifriction nanostructured DLC coatings were deposited on the test samples of DGS rings made of silicon carbide. According to the results of bench tests of experimental DGS with diamond-like coatings at the partner enterprise "Grace Engineering", Sumy, the coatings are recommended for use in production to improve the performance properties of DGS systems of high-pressure compressors. According to the existing Implementation Acts, small-scale lots of ring elements of DGS with diameters of 100-225 mm with protective antifriction coatings deposited at the NSC KIPT, Grace Engineering used in the manufacture of high-pressure compressor equipment, which was sent to customers and operated abroad. Using the development of NSC KIPT allows import substitution during the production of a new generation of compressors with a working pressure of up to 200 atm.
