This stand was designed to determine the coefficient of purification of gaseous radioactive waste products from iodine and methyl iodide by sorbents used at Ukrainian NPPs and for certification of sorbents by the XRA. The possibility is substantiated of using stable iodine to determine the absorption properties of carbon sorbents. Installation, launching and adjustment of the pumping module and the measurement module were carried out using gaseous model mixtures based on the stable isotope of iodine 127I.
