Performed experiments to increase the initial energy of the Nd-YAG laser by increasing the length of its active element gave an increase in output energy by 30%. By increasing the power density of the main radiation, the efficiency of conversion to the second harmonic was obtained up to 55%. This gave an increase in the output energy at a wavelength of 532 nm to 87 mJ, which is about 2 times higher than the energy of the pump laser (45 mJ) for the gain unit of the existing CPA laser system.
