The soil moisture, acidity of water extracts, corrosion activity of soil by electrolysis method, specific weight of soil, volume of soil and porosity, compression properties of soil are determined. The investigations are performed on standard equipment in accordance with the methods recommended by GOST and DSTU. On the basis of the results of the carried out research the conclusion is drawn about the possibility of using bentonite clay when performing repair and restoration works on the existing ammonia pipelines.
