The purpose of the study is to develop technological and organizational solutions for improving the efficiency of the renovation of stone buildings of the Orthodox churches that were built up to 1920. Research methods. Theoretical and methodological basis of the study consisted of general scientific (theoretical and empirical) and special methods: analysis and generalization of data; comparative analysis; classification; method of expert assessments with their subsequent ranking and determination of the significance of the studied parameters; modeling method using the finite element method during calculations, the method of calendar planning. Elements of joints of shutter boards were experimentally tested in the Laboratory of Building Structures of the Kharkiv National University of Construction and Architecture and confirmed empirical calculations. Results and their novelty: the factors which influence the technical condition of Orthodox churches in general and their individual elements are found out; the specificity of performing repair and restoration works depending on their types is investigated; the possibility of harmonization of Ukraine's normative documents with European standards on restoration works is considered; the design of the individual formwork system of the vault with the use of additive technology has been developed by layer-layer surfacing of a polymer thread in combination with secondary polymer composite materials as a consumable material; recommendations on the choice of building scaffolds in the period of renovation work; Design, technological and organizational solutions for restoring terrestrial structures of Orthodox churches have been developed taking into account the recommendations regarding the choice of building material for the restoration of the arch of the Orthodox church. Practical value of the obtained results: developed light-separating compound for panels of formwork; laboratory studies of constructive elements that were made with the use of additive technologies; Organizational and technological solutions for restoring church structures with the use of formwork from secondary polymer composite materials are developed; the economic efficiency of the developed solutions is substantiated. The results of scientific researches were introduced into the educational process and at the production of LLC "Institute GRANDPROEKT".
