The statistical estimation of the magnitudes and nature of damages on the basis of the actual experimental data of metal smoke pipes and their bearing towers has been carried out, the determination of the main types of defects and damage has been improved, the maximum permissible values ??of defects and damages have been established, depending on the technical condition and the degree of damage. On the basis of the physico-statistical approach, methods for assessing the reliability and control of aging elements of metal smoke and ventilation pipes and their bearing towers are developed. The analytical dependences of durability of metal smoke pipes are given taking into account the combined effect of power, dynamic, corrosion and temperature influences. The method of calculating the residual resource, taking into account damage and lifetime of metal smoke and ventilation pipes and their bearing towers, is developed. Three classes of reliability - guaranteed, marginal and not provided, for metal chimneys and their supporting towers, are offered, depending on the technical condition, the category of danger of defects detected, durability and the necessity of repair work. The technique of taking into account power stresses and welding stresses at reinforcement of metal constructions has been improved, constructive and technological solutions for elimination of damage have been developed.
