Consequently, research in the field of Ukrainian philology is intended to correct an imbalance, to actualize research in the humanities, to lay the foundation for the formation of scientific schools, to increase the level of knowledge of the Ukrainian language, and finally to popularize Ukrainian literature in the region. The goal was a systematic analysis of modern problems of development of Ukrainian philological science, the implementation of diverse studies on Ukrainian linguistics, history and theory of literature, folklore studies, dialectology, methods of teaching the Ukrainian language and literature in secondary schools and universities.
