The object of the research: theory, technology and practice of preparing young people at risk for independent living. The subject of the research: socio-pedagogical conditions, forms and methods of preparing young people at risk for independent living in society. The project aim: to carry out scientific and methodological substantiation of theoretical and methodological features of preparing young people at risk for independent life in society, to determine effective forms of practical work to prepare young people of this target category for independent adult life, to develop practical recommendations for the implementation of effective training programs for young people at risk in independent life and develop a training program to prepare youth at risk for independent living. The research results. The work contains a detailed analysis of theoretical, methodological and practical approaches to preparing young people at risk for independent living. The paper reveals the content of the concept of "at risk" and "youth at risk", as well as examples of foreign and domestic experience of preparing young people at risk for independent living outside educational institutions. Practical recommendations for the implementation of effective training programs for young people at risk for independent living and a training program for preparing young people at risk for independent living in the non-formal education system have been developed.
