The essence and ideas of the main concepts of the mass media language, the speech culture in mass media, the special features and development trends of the broadcasting of network genres are investigated. Characteristic features of visual texts are outlined: democratism, intellectuality, personal view at the events, creativity, etc. The issue of linguistic codification of new lexems in the Ukrainian language was studied; the expediency of using symbolic norms in media stylistic was determined; topical markers of modern media text are interpreted; apodictic meanings in hot topic publications are analyzed. Considerable attention was paid to the persuasive function of the media language. The main factors of argumented persuasion in modern journalistic texts are defined as well as strategies of effective influence on the readers. The renewed active political vocabulary under the influence of extralinguistic factors (The Revolution of Dignity, ATO, international events) was examined. According to the materials of network communication, comments and discussions the key neologisms, expressive tokens that appeared in modern media are worked out. The visualization of the concept "patriotism" - one of the most important in the Ukrainian national conceptual sphere of 2014-2018 - is analized. The results of scientific research are used in lecture courses and special courses, in practical classes, in bachelor and master's studies, as well as in the practice of printed and electronic publications, television and radio journalism.
