The link between interpretative and performative turns in culture and types of genre thinking in Ukrainian prose is discovered. It is proven that dynamics of non-canon (hybrid) forms in Ukrainian literature during XX-XXI centuries opens up causes of literary self-consciousness and self-reflection, thus, letting us understand the principles of forming traditions. The results of research on genre processes in Ukrainian literature during XX-XXI centuries have been introduced in scientific and educational processes (thesis defense, publication of scientific articles, participation in scientific conferences, curriculums of lecture courses and special courses, research objective for students).
