Muromtseva and L. Poliuha; on the basis of the analysis of S. Smerechinsky's scientific work "Essays on the Ukrainian Syntax" (1932) study the complex process of normalization of that period literary language in the field of syntax and partly morphology; find out the features of the lexical borrowing process into the modern Ukrainian language and its role in the formation of a system of economic terminology; research the systemic relations of germanisms in the Ukrainian economic terminology; consider the multidimensional character of studies on antonymic relationships in modern linguistics, describe the traditional and progressive views of linguists on the phenomenon of antonyms in the context of describing the semantic structure of the polysemantic word. The scientific originality of the work provides an attempt to outline the significance of lexicography in the history of Ukrainian linguistics basing on the linguistics of the creative concept of professors O. Muromtseva, L. Poliuha; characteristics of lexicographic works of the representatives of the Kharkov philological school of the period of Ukrainian romanticism of the 1920's and 1960's. (I. Kulzhinskyi, M. Tsertelev, A. Metlynskyi, P. Biletskyi-Nosenko, P. Morachevskyi, A. Afanasyev-Chuzhbinskyi, M. Zakrevskyi), as well as of the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century (V. Vasilenko, B. Hrynchenko), that became the basis for normalization and codification of the Ukrainian language in the 20-30's of the 20th century; in the study of the formation of the only literary norms of the Ukrainian language, which took place in the process of numerous linguistic discussions, especially "hard" in the period 1920-1930's; in the multidisciplinary analysis and systematization of economic terms borrowed by the modern Ukrainian language, the clarification of the peculiarities of word-formation processes based on the latest borrowing; in the development of the criteria for the qualification of antonymic words. Theoretical and practical significance of work. The obtained concrete conclusions on the normative scientific communication provide a material for comprehension of the basic problem in teaching of humanitarian disciplines of the department. The results of the study are of practical significance. The comprehensive description of the normalization, ways and means of formation, structure, system organization of the scientific language provide material for further work on the ordering of the terminology studied. The obtained results can be useful in creating educational dictionaries of economic orientation, while studying the language of a specialty by the student audience of Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, in particular, the introduction of the research material into the content of lectures and practical classes of the course "Ukrainian language (for professional orientation)", "Ukrainian language (for foreign students)," "Practical stylistics and copywriting."
