The disease of the small vessels of the brain, structural changes of the brain, neurological, cognitive disorders, the factors of vascular risk, the criteria of the prognosis, the treatment. The object of the examination: 162 patients who have sights of the disease of the small vessels of the brain (DSV). The purpose of the examination: to study the structural and functional changes of the brain, the factors of vascular risk to develop, the criteria of the prognosis of the development and medicative and preventive steps which are directed to prevent the development of stroke and dementia of patients who suffer from DSV. The methods of the examination: neurovisual (CT, MRT of the brain) clinical and neurological, psychodiagnostical, ultrasound dopplerography (the state of cerebral hemodynamics, vascular and motor function of the endothelium), EEG, polysomnography, neurocognitive testing, biochemical, experimental, statistic. The list of measurers which were used during the performance of scientific and examinational is represented in the additional work. The results of the performed examination testify that the disease of the small vessels of the brain is a special form of cerebrovascular pathology which is accompanied by clinical and neurological, cognitive and psychoemotional disorders and has progressive development. The presence of the DSV increases the risk of the stroke and dementia. The cardiovascular factors of of the development of the DSV are discovered. The criteria of the prognosis of the development of the stroke and dementia from the examined patient, are represented. The algorithm of the medicative and preventive measures is developed. For the patients who suffer from DSV the neurocognitive timekeeping with the help of competr testing is exact, quick and economical method of the objectivization of the efficiency of treatment of cognitive disorders.
