Object of research: post-stress psychiatric disorders of combatants and civilians who survived hostilities. The purpose of the research: based on the study of mechanisms and factors for the formation of post-stress psychiatric disorders from combatants and civilians who survived the fighting, to develop a new model of medical and psychological rehabilitation, aimed at improving the quality of their lives. Methods of research: clinical-psychopathological, psychodiagnostic and mathematical-statistical. Based on the results of the research, there were: mechanisms and main factors for the formation of post-stress psychiatric disorders in combatants and civilians who were affected by hostilities. It is shown that the determining factors for the formation and development of these disorders are the features of the traumatic event and the degree of attraction to it, the individual significance of psychotraum, individual psychological features, as well as clinical factors. These factors are characterized by complex internal interaction and mutual influence. The newest model of medical-psychological rehabilitation of patients with post-stress psychiatric disorders is developed. According to this model, a complex of medical and psychological measures for the treatment and rehabilitation of these patients was developed and tested taking into account the level of human response to an extreme event (psychological and psychopathological); proved its high efficiency.
