Object of research - reparative regeneration of bone under different conditions of fixation and different age of experimental animals (rats); mechanical, electrochemical properties of carbon carbon composite material. The purpose of the work is to give theoretical substantiation and to develop methodological principles and methods of technical solutions for the creation of new methods of bone fragments unification and replacement of bone defects in elderly by artificial implants based on carbon carbon composite material. Methods of research - theoretical-analytical, experimental, modeling, morphological, electrochemical (NTU KHPI). New data on the reaction of bone and soft tissue surrounding the implant with VVKM, features of its use as a material for the replacement of bone defects were obtained. Biological inertia of VVKM, absence of toxic effect on surrounding and distant tissues has been proved. It is proved that VVKM does not accumulate in internal organs and does not interfere with the course of usual biological processes. The principal possibility of the joint use of carbon implants with metal products for osteosynthesis, in particular with protective insulating coating, is proved.
