The purpose of the work is to develop and scientifically substantiate the new methodologies and criteria of tolerance to physical activity for university students. Methods of research - historical, program-target, psycho-physiological, sociological, statistical, analytical. As a result of this work, methods for diagnosing the students' stress tolerance and physical endurance at physical education at the university were developed, patented and tested. It is proved: introduction of new, optimized methods developed by us will allow: to determine the rate of adaptation of students to the educational process in higher educational institutions and adequate response to the load; determine the level of physical endurance; to control the effectiveness of training students in physical education classes in ordinary and special medical groups. It is determined: the selection of individual dosed loads with the gradual expansion of the motor regime in classes by physical culture in the developed methods, positively affected the results of the educational process and improve the state of health of students, helped to avoid complications during the classes. The low potential of the individual level of health, the presence of bad habits and pathological illnesses, the divergence of the biological and passport age among students, necessitates revision of the standards in the program of physical education in universities.
