The purpose of the study is to substantiate the theoretical foundations and scientific and practical provisions for improving the efficiency of management of enterprises in Ukraine in the present. The methodological and theoretical basis of work are the works of foreign and Ukrainian scholars in the field of enterprise development management, the normative-legal basis (decrees of the President of Ukraine, legislative acts of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, etc.). In the process of work on the work was used a set of general scientific methods of research: historical - in the study of the evolution of scientific views on enterprise management; theoretical generalization - made it possible to reveal the patterns and features of the interpretation of the basic concepts during the formation of theoretical foundations for the management of enterprise development; system analysis - in the analysis of methods and tools in the management of the enterprise, as well as in the study of world experience in managing the development of the enterprise, the effectiveness of its economic activity under the influence of innovation; statistical-economic, which allowed to carry out an analysis of innovation activity; methods of analysis, synthesis, deduction - to substantiate the appropriateness of approaches to management of domestic enterprises in modern conditions. The methodology for evaluating the innovative potential of the industrial enterprise is considered, the methodical approach to the formation of stimulation of the development of small business enterprises is defined, the basic functions of management in production systems are substantiated and analyzed, and the improvement of the medical policy and taxation of enterprises of the domestic national economy is determined. The results of the research work have been tested at all-Ukrainian scientific-practical conferences and implemented in the educational process of the department.
