The purpose of the work are the formation of wear-resistant coatings with increased tribological characteristics on structural steel due to pulsed-plasma surface treatment; investigation of spectral characteristics of ultra-dispersed particles on the basis of ?-Al2O3, production of aqueous solutions of fullerenes by injection of erosive plasma into a liquid, mathematical and computer modeling the process of occurrence and the development of natural thermal convection near the linear source of heat and mass. Research methods: photoluminescence, low energy ionoluminescence, optical and electron microscopy, energy dispersion spectroscopy, microhardness measurement, electrical measurements. The theoretical analysis of formation of droplets of a liquid material of a cathode under arc discharge in electrothermal axial plasma accelerator is executed in the work. The deposition in an electric field of ultradispersed particles of ?-Al2O3 with increased hardness is described. The results of development and testing of the method and equipment for direct obtaining an aqueous solutions of fullerenes are presented. Two-dimensional mathematical and computer models of the process of occurrence and development of natural thermal convection near the linear source of heat and mass are developed.
