The aim of the work is to investigate the sources of methane evolution, to agree on the scheme for ventilating the face of the 5 northern lava block 10, to coordinate measures for saving and self-rescue of underground workers in case of accidents in the excavations of State Enterprise "РokrovskoeMineGroup". Research methods - generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations by standard methods. As a result of the work, the technical documentation for the ventilation of the excavation site 5 of the northern lava of Block 10 of State Enterprise "РokrovskoeMineGroup" was analyzed. "Recommendations for ensuring gas safety of the excavation site 5 of the northern lava of the block 10 of the d4 layer of the State Enterprise "РokrovskoeMineGroup" with the use of a return-flow ventilation scheme, type 1-M "are developed. It is agreed to use a re-flowing, type 1-M, ventilation scheme of the excavation site 5 of the northern lava of the block 10, calculate the air flow needed for its ventilation, and the maximum allowable load on the gas cleaning face at three stages of lava development, provided that the developed recommendations for ensuring gas safety. "Measures for the rescue and self-rescue of underground workers during accidents in the workings of the 5 northern lava block 10" have been coordinated. The results of the implementation of the developments - the application of the developed recommendations allowed to ensure gas safety in the conduct of mining operations, which is of great socioeconomic and ecological importance.
