The purpose of the work is to study the sources of methane emission within the excavation section of the 2 southern lava of block 7 and to develop an "Addendum to the degassing project of the 2 southern lava of block 7 of the d4 stratum State Enterprise "РokrovskoeMineGroup". Research methods - generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, the technical documentation for the development of 2 southern lava block 7 of State Enterprise "РokrovskoeMineGroup" was analyzed. The expected methane emissions within the excavation area, the required degassing efficiency and air consumption for ventilation of the excavation section, the parameters and mode of the roof degassing by wells and the open space were calculated using candles. Developed "Measures to manage the degassing system of the excavation section 2 of the southern lava of block 7 during fires in the mine workings." An “Addendum to the degassing project 2 of the southern lava of block 7 of the d4 reservoir of State Enterprise "РokrovskoeMineGroup" has been developed. The results of the implementation of the development - the application of the developed recommendations allowed to ensure gas safety in the conduct of mining operations, which is of great socio-economic and environmental importance.
