The aim of the work is to conduct a study of methane emission sources, develop recommendations for ensuring safe working conditions when installing a local ventilation fan on the outgoing ventilation jet of the preparatory work and the excavation site, and when releasing the outgoing ventilation jet of the preparatory work into a fresh general air ventilation stream. Research methods - generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations by standard methods. As a result of the work, the technical documentation for the construction of dead-end workings of the mine Dneprovskaya PSS "DniprovskoeMineGroup" of Private Joint-stock Company "DTEK Pavlogradugol" was analyzed.
