Aim of work - to investigate the actual selection of methane within the limits of sheth of lava № 138 layer of n7н and to correct "Project of degassing of lava № 138 layer of n7н mine "Stepova" to State Enterprise of "L'vovugol". Methods of researches are generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations on standard methodologies. As a result of implementation of work technical documentation is analysed on working off lava № 138 layer of n7н mine "Stepova" to State Enterprise of "L'vovugol". The calculation of the expected selection of methane within the limits of sheth, estimation of gas safety of sheth and attained efficiency of the applied facilities of fight against methane is executed. The ground of choice of method and chart of degassing of sheth is executed. "Events are worked out on a management by the decontamination system during fires" and the special measures on providing of gas safety during redemption of outtake, reduction of pipeline of the isolated taking of methane, transfer of "candles" and insulating bridge. In accordance with the executed researches "Project of degassing of lava № is adjusted 138 layer of n7н mine "Stepova" to State Enterprise of "L'vovugol". Results of introduction of developments - application of the worked out recommendations allowed to provide gas safety at the conduct of mountain works, that has a large socio-economic and ecological value.
