The development of MS in the juvenile age was accompanied by a decrease in serum testosterone levels by 28% and a two fold increase in the levels of luteinizing and follicle stimulating hormone, which reduced the mass of epididymis by 9% and the sperm count by 16% compared to control. The introduction of metformin, in general, did not contribute to the correction of these indicators. For lipoflavone administration, the level of testosterone remained at the control level, but other indices did not differ from those in the group without treatment. The analysis of the microstructure of seminal canals and testicular appendages in MS rats revealed signs of violations of the processes of differentiation and maturation of the germ cells. The use of metabolic drugs (metformin, lipoflavone and methivide) to varying degrees reduced the disorder in the spermatogenic epithelium. In the conditions of pairing intact females with MS males, the use of metformin and lipoflavone allowed to reduce the level of preimplantation losses (in terms of 1 female) in 2.4 and 3.1 times, respectively, in comparison with the group where only the MS was induced, and the total embryo- fetal mortality, even compared to control. The development of MS in the juvenile age greatly influenced the expression of CYP2E1 and CYP3A2 genes (orthologist CYP3A4) in the testicles of young rats, increasing their levels by 2 and 5 times, respectively, compared to control. The introduction of metformin and lipoflavone contributed to the effective reduction of the testicular expression of the CYP2E1 gene almost to the control level, but metformin, unlike lipoflavone, did not affect the expression of CYP3A2 mRNA. In MS rats testicles, the balance of the pro- and antioxidant system was disturbed. The introduction of metformin and lipoflavone did not affect the level of LPA in the testicles, but normalized the activity of catalase and increased the content of reduced glutathione by more than 12% compared with the group without treatment. In addition, in the testicular cells of MS animals, intensity increased and the nature of the processes of DNA fragmentation changed, as well as the percentage of sperm with anomalous single-stranded DNA increased. The introduction of metformin, unlike lipoflavone, led to the normalization of the abovementioned indicators. In this case, the introduction of both preparations contributed to the protection of sperm DNA integrity. Product Description popup.authors І. І. Тубальцева І. С. Блажчук А.В. Матвієнко Г. М.
